Interview with David Krumholtz
Me: Ok, first question, if you could choose one other job besides acting what would it be and why?
David: I would either be a chef or a veterinarian. I love the culinary arts, I love food! And I love animals and would love to help them.
Me: What is the craziest thing a fan has asked you to do for them?
David: hmmm, a fan wanted me to make out with her, while her friend took a picture. I said no, then she asked me to grab her you know what, I said no, then she pulled up my shirt and bit my belly, and her friend shot the photo. I was upset.
Me: Out of the tv shows and movies you’ve done, what was your favorite to shoot?
David: I had the most fun shooting “10 Things I Hate About You” The cast loved each other, we hung out every single day.
Me: How many times do you think you’ve forgotten your lines during a show or movie?
David: Oh lots. Especially during NUMB3RS. That math stuff was very hard to memorize. But I do have a good memory. Not too many mistakes.
Me: In what way do you relate to your character ‘Charlie’ from NUMB3RS?
David: Charlie and I are both very earnest and well meaning. We are both perfectionists. Both of us value family.
Me: What do you think is the hardest part of acting?
David: Wow. Using your skills, but making it look effortless. It’s hard to be a brave actor when you doubt yourself. Staying confident while staying in a state of curiosity, letting things happen, is difficult. It’s important to keep the work honest. Professional acting now that’s a whole different story.
Me: How old is your dog Hannah?
David: 5 she will be 6 on May 22nd.
Me: When did you first know you wanted to be an actor?
David: Truthfully, I still don’t know for certain. Such a self critical thing. I question doing it almost every day. I must be nuts.
Me: lol but that’s why your fans love you.
David: Thanks. This is a great interview so far. Great job!
Me: Thanks, well I think that’s all I have for now. Is there anything you’d like to ask me?
David: Yes. How’d you get so smart?
